Built in 1867, Jacob's Chapel is one of the oldest African Methodist Episcopal (AME) churches in the region.

 

Located in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, we open our doors to worship God, honor our past,  and serve our community. We look forward to connecting with you and sharing our rich history.

We are pleased to announce that JACOB’S CHAPEL AME Church has received $120,000 with support from the Lilly Endowment Inc. this project was funded by a grant from the funding from the African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund, a program of the National Trust of Historic preservation! This funding will support restoration and preservation of the roofs of both the Church and Colemantown Meetinghouse.
